IELTS for Australia from Zimbabwe means checking the requirement for your exact visa, course or professional registration. These are separate processes and can set different scores. An IELTS result that meets one requirement does not automatically meet the others. Australia does not impose a general requirement for a UKVI version of IELTS.
Understand the English proficiency categories
Home Affairs lists IELTS minimums of 6 in each skill for Competent English, 7 in each for Proficient English and 8 in each for Superior English. These are individual skill requirements, not just overall bands. Academic and General Training appear in the official category tables. Whether a category attracts points depends on the visa and applicable points test.
Check the visa, institution and regulator separately
Student visa evidence depends on the application and any applicable exemptions or course arrangements. Universities may require IELTS Academic with their own overall and individual bands. Professional regulators can impose additional conditions. Check the official Home Affairs page and the receiving organisation before selecting a test. Accepted delivery formats, result validity and retake rules also matter.
Prepare from your current level
Choose a target in each skill, complete timed practice and use feedback to identify the recurring errors. Academic candidates need visual-information writing; General Training candidates need letters. Both prepare Task 2 essays and all three Speaking parts. Coach Greens can help you work towards the relevant scores. Progress depends on your starting level and study time, so avoid booking on the assumption that a fixed course length guarantees readiness.
