PTE writing classes in Zimbabwe should develop your ability to understand a prompt and write a relevant, accurate response. A framework can help organise your ideas, but a fixed template cannot guarantee a high score. Coach Greens helps learners work on summaries, essays and the language skills behind them.
Summarize Written Text
For PTE Academic, summarise a passage of up to 300 words in one sentence of 5–75 words within 10 minutes. Identify the main idea and the most important supporting information. Use punctuation and connectors where meaning requires them; there is no universal rule requiring particular commas or phrases. Check that the sentence is complete, grammatical and faithful to the passage.
Write Essay
PTE Academic essays require 200–300 words within 20 minutes. Read the task carefully, take a clear position where needed and develop relevant points with explanations or examples. Use paragraphs to make the progression easy to follow. Leave time to check grammar, spelling and whether the response answers every part of the prompt. Memorised sentences should never take the place of relevant content.
Use feedback across the test
PTE uses integrated tasks, so writing performance is not limited to summaries and essays. Review the current format and practise tasks involving listening and written responses too. AI practice scores can help identify patterns but are not official results. Use human feedback to understand errors and improve your next draft. Progress depends on your starting level and consistent practice, rather than a promised number of points in a fixed number of weeks.
